Both lifeboats from Seahouses were dispatched to the islands to assist a broken down diving boat.
Station spokesman Ian Clayton said the teams had been called out by Humber Coastguard control: "We were informed we had a six-and-a-half metre rigid inflatable boat that had broken down,” he said.

The decision was taken to send both boats to the scene in case a search for the missing diver was required.
Low tide had meant a slight delay in launching the station’s larger Shannon class lifeboat, the John and Elizabeth Allan, and by the time it arrived the inflatable Grace Darling had already come alongside the stranded vessel.
With the missing driver now located and safely aboard, the broken-down vessel was towed back to harbour.
