Hugh Joicey C of E Aided First School at Ford had to hastily rearrange its annual crowning of the May Queen on Friday when snow put a stop to the usual outdoor events.
Acting headteacher Jacqueline Dalrymple said: “It’s the first time it has been snowing on the day of our celebrations.

Fiona McIntosh, nine, the oldest girl in the school, was crowned May Queen.
The celebrations were held in the school hall for a smaller audience, with a larger event planned for Monday when more people will be able to enjoy the activities.
