Wooler is a blooming great place to visit thanks to a £500 donation from Northumberland Freemasons.
The Heart of Glendale Lodge presented the cheque to the Glendale Floral Society to go towards the fountain restoration project which the society and the Friends of Wooler Fountain Restoration are managing.

Hide AdThe fountain includes flower decorations, bird nesting boxes at the top and a solar-powered watering system. Benches and an information board will also be installed soon.
John Grey, presenting the cheque from the Freemasons said: “History is very important to us in Freemasonry as is helping the community. I’m delighted we have been able to help on both counts in this important project.”
