During the course of the challenge, RAF Boulmer’s Chris Ashcroft, who is also a spinning instructor, has been holding 20-minute spin classes for the public.
A free class will take place today and tomorrow, at 10.30am, and people are invited to come along to try.
Willowburn Sports Centre has a big affinity with RAF Boulmer. The centre is frequently used by staff and families from the base and the pool is used for RAF training drills.

Hide AdRAF Boulmer has been heavily involved with the centenary celebrations.
Earlier this year, the base’s radome at Brizlee Wood – known as the Golf Ball on the Hill – was spectacularly illuminated with the RAF100 logo.
Personnel also took part in the nationwide RAF100 relay, helping to carry the baton throughout Northumberland.
