Northumberland greenhouse project in running for regional award
As reported by the Gazette last year, the grade II*-listed glasshouse and potting shed, at Felton Park, had long been on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk register. But much-needed work took place, after funding was secured from Historic England, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Country Houses Foundation and Northumberland County Council.
And today, it was announced that the project, by Spence and Dower LLP, is in the running for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) North East 2016 Awards, alongside 10 other schemes, including Blyth Workspace and the new Ashington Leisure Centre.
