Voting opens to decide overall winner of Glendale photography competition

The Ad Gefrin competition was split into two themes, one to capture the personality and the people of Glendale, and another its beautiful backdrops.
Victoria Telford won the ‘People at Work, Rest and Play’ category with her picture of Robert Telford on East Hill.

Hide AdCharlotte Young won ‘The Landscape of Glendale’ category with a view of Harthope Valley.
Eileen Ferguson, on behalf of Ad Gefrin, said: “The standard of the entries this year was superb across the full range of images, and we had so many to choose from. I am sure everyone who has viewed them on our website will agree.
“It was no small feat to narrow down to the final two category winners. We love these two images – between them, they truly capture the essence of Glendale.”

Hide AdVoting closes on Friday, January 29 at 12pm. The overall winner will then be announced on February 1.
Ad Gefrin aim to create a high-quality new whisky distillery on one of the main Anglo-Scottish arterial routes, and have set out to re-invigorate a long-lost industry for the area.
Located at what is known to be ‘The Gateway to the Cheviots’, the new distillery experience will contribute significantly to the sustainable future of the area and hopes to become an exciting part of the region’s economy moving forward.
