Latest data from Public Health England, published by Northumberland County Council, reveals the county-wide infection rate was 261.7 positive cases per 100,000 on December 29 – its highest level since early November.
The England average is 374 positive cases per 100,000.
Northumberland is now in the highest Tier 4 ‘stay at home’ level of coronavirus restrictions.

1. Haltwhistle
There were 53 positive cases in Haltwhistle ward in the seven days up to December 29.
